The widespread of e-books or electronic books have forced the gadget designers to produce some handy devices that may overcome the hassles and inconveniences associated with reading in a monotonous computer screen. Therefore, e-book readers, one of the most useful creations of recent world, have been introduced by several manufacturers with many different functional features, so that the reader can feel like reading a paper book. Most of the e-book readers feature portability of handhelds along with a higher resolution screen to ensure readers convenience. The average size of a good quality e-book reader is almost as an average size paper book and weighted only a few hundred grams.

E-book readers always keep one thing common that is a very high definition display and the entire surface area is almost occupied. Portable Iron Design with Two Heating Plates

Portable Iron is featuring rail mechanism that allows the user to transform the smart box easily into an iron. However, this iron can not be used for massive number of cloths, but this will prove very much helpful and effective when you are on a trip. This iron includes two heating plates placed one on another with a spring between them. This two plate design will allow easier ironing of the collars by simply putting it between them and gently toasting it. This iron can be operated on standard electrical power when you need full heating power. Additionally, it works also on battery when you are roaming.

Water Building Resort Design Was Inspired by The Form of a Drop of a Water

The water building resort has been conceptually and architecturally designed in the shape of a water drop and intends to be the world’s first building that can convert air into water by using solar energy. The technique is nothing but a combination of technology and nature. A photovoltaic glass made southerly facing facade will harness the required solar energy and let light to pass through. Conversely, the northern façade includes a latticed ventilation design and utilizes Teex Micron equipment to convert humid air into pure drinking water through condensation. Moreover, the bottom floor of this resort complex will have a water treatment zone for purifying rain water and salty sear water and a technological investigation center to control and verify water quality.

Squidolin Features a Beautiful Contemporary Violin Design

Squidolin is a specially designed violin that will let you learn to play by following a series of simple techniques, yet it performs as a regular violin when it is connected with an amplifier. The beautiful contemporary design and a Maple wood finished comfortable bow have made it a great piece.

The designer has considered few constrains when designing the violin, such as, a half violin and half music player that would break down the notes of a tune and show how to play it. A ball using as a bow grip that will always give a perpendicular stoke to the user and a lighting fingerboard that will indicate a node for a particular whistle sound. Digital strings have replaced the ordinary strings that are able to considerably reduce the learning pain and the sting setup has been done in a way that can create surround sound experience. Marks are no longer in use when a violinist gets proficient; therefore, the fading marks are another noticeable feature of the design.

The name Squidolin was driven from the squid like shape with the functionally and aesthetically right proportions of the design development. The shape of the bow of Squidolin is newly designed and is smart enough to detect motions and communicate back accordingly.

Giving the idea into shape was the toughest part. The designer used the mirror modeling to get a great symmetrical shape and then moved into Solid-works to CAD for milling. The interface of Squidolin is an essential part of the design and can be represented in different ways. When learning, students might come across synesthetic relationship screen which represents the reaction of virtual objects to sound in real world situations. Organic timing or tempo can be learned from real-world experiences like water drops in steady water surface. Monkey-Do will teach the violinist the correct posture and Squidolin could be connected to the social networks via internet where violinist could perform or share his/her musical talent.

TERRENA : Next Generation Concept Vehicle by Marcos Madia

TERRENA is a next generation concept vehicle aimed to go through several terrains of America. The exclusive tire mechanism of this car adapts the wheel’s dimensions to the various types of roads, allowing the user to drive the car safely in various conditions. To ensure better functionality, this vehicle is designed in a larger wheel diameter and reduced width along with an enhanced car height. The integrated sensors are able to provide signals about a road condition and if they found a good road condition signal, the wheels turn wide and the car height decreases to provide the required stability and control to run faster. The car’s exterior is covered with flexible materials that would soak up the deformation of potential impacts.
